morph cut isn't working

I'm trying to apply a morph cut to hide the jump cut in this clip. It's just a talking head interview clip (shot on a tripod). The clip is about 3 seconds so it should be long enough. It wont even let me toggle the effect because it remains greyed out

What version of PP (please use the About screen) and OS?

If  you drop morph cut just on a cut in a single file it wont work.

(actually it does work but you are not seeing it as it uses the same frames)

You need to have handles: cut needs to be trimmed back on one or both sides.

Ann is right, and it's one of those things that many users don't realize. Not obvious, either.
