MT-Extra font issue

Engaged ,
May 16, 2017 May 16, 2017

Hi everybody,

since the new update when I open Premiere I get a warning:

Invalid font: MT-Extra

If I try to use this font inside Premiere I get a bunch of errors.

I was trying to locate the font in my system but it's not in the font folder. I'm on Windows 10.

Where else could it be? Or how can I fix this small problem?

MT-extra must be a third party font.

Hi Ann Bens,

you mean from a third party plugin I have installed for example?

So.. I should just leave the warning there and not worry about it, shouldn't I?

Is there a solution? I haven't used or even seen this font before and when I open a new project after the last update, it gets me the "ungültige Schriftart MT-Extra"  (invalid font) error. it's annoying, can't i fix that somehow? like deaktivating the font? but i cannot find it anywhere.... thx

Hey, I'm having the same issue with the new update [as of April 2017] but with about 30 fonts, I can't delete them since I'm a graphic designer, there was no problems before, I guess it's an Adobe problem.
Fix this please, Thanks

Hi!

I managed to get rid of the error message

I run Premiere Pro CC Version 12.0.0 on Windows 10

Solution:

- Download the latest MathType for Windows from Design Science: Downloads

- Unzip the installation .exe file

- Find the mtextra.ttf file

- Right click on it and click "install"

Open Premiere Pro and the error message is gone!

Good luck!

There's a much easier way than that -- download the MathType font installers. If you don't need MathType, but only need the fonts, they're free: MathType: Font Installers. No need to go to the trouble of unzipping the MathType installer.
