My 'editing' workspace is missing ...

Explorer ,
May 04, 2017 May 04, 2017

loaded a project, panels failed to open.  Quit premiere.

re-opened project, OK this time but the 'editing' workspace is missing! i.e. the ones for Colour, Effects, Audio, Titles etc.. are there, but the 'Editing' one is GOOONE!

how do i get it back? i hear these things are called 'layouts' and saved as XML files somewhere, but i don't know where. (i'm on Windows, not Mac)

i'd like to reset all the Workspaces back to default, and get my 'editing' one back please!

Thanks.

Did you try going to the Window menu > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout? If that does not work for you, you can go to Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 11.0 (or whatever version you are using) > Profile > rename the Layouts folder to something like old-Layouts. Relaunch Premiere and it should create the default workspaces for you.

ok! that recreated all my Workspaces/layouts, yes... and even found the 5.5 Editing one (which i prefer) in an old Archived layouts folder!

Thank you; I needed this after my entire Workspace went POOF from the PC constantly crashing from a lack of memory as I tried to open up a large project in Premiere Pro (to which I fixed by deleting ALL of the Media Cache files via Preferences). Deleting the Layouts folder and allowing PP to recreate it brought back the Workspace again.

Hi!

I have the same problem! My editing workspace is missing. However, these two fixed didnt work. Can I download a standard one? or can I even create my own? Its very annoying.

Thanks!

Oh no! its OK it did work. I have to be on the Editing workspace, where I have the problem, and click the revert to saved Layout from there.

Bingo!!

Hi, is there a way to fix this without resetting the workspace layouts? Thanks
