Need help in achieving an effect in Adobe Premiere Pro

Hello, I am a student trying to create a movie. I am attempting to achieve a specific effect in Premiere Pro. After a person walks in front of the camera, she will uncover the title, let's call it "The Movie Title," in yellow color. To do this, I have meticulously masked the frames frame-by-frame, creating a slow transition that looks like the title is being revealed. Now, I want to change that title into a material resembling glass or a mirror while the background turns black. The key part of the introduction is to create an effect on the title so that it appears to shatter since it's made of glass or a mirror. I hope you understand my concept, or I can try explaining it differently. Please help me achieve this cool effect for my movie.

This is the response I got from a source but its not clear.

Add the Glass or Mirror Effect:

  • Create a new Adjustment Layer by going to File > New > Adjustment Layer. Place it above the title and the video footage.
  • With the Adjustment Layer selected, go to the Effects panel and search for the "CC Glass" effect. Drag it onto the Adjustment Layer.
  • Adjust the settings of the CC Glass effect to achieve the glass or mirror appearance. You can experiment with the settings to get the desired look.

Create the Shattering Effect:

  • For the shattering effect, you'll need a shatter map or shatter texture. You can find these online or create your own in image editing software.
  • Import the shatter map into your Premiere Pro project and place it on a new video track above the Adjustment Layer.
  • Set the blending mode of the shatter map to "Screen" or "Add" to make the black background transparent.
  • With the shatter map selected, go to the Effects Controls panel, and choose "Track Matte Key" from the Opacity section.
  • In the "Track Matte Key" settings, set the Matte to the title layer (the one you want to shatter). This will use the title as a track matte for the shatter map, making it appear as if the title is shattering.

Fine-Tuning:

  • To enhance the shattering effect, you can add sound effects and adjust the timing of the shatter map to sync with the animation of the title.
  • Experiment with other effects like blur or distortion to make the shattered pieces of the title look more realistic.

Preview and Export:

  • Preview the effect to make sure it looks the way you want.
  • When you're satisfied, export the final video with the shattering glass or mirror effect."
