Hi guys,
I recently updated the new version of Premiere Pro.
Most of my plugins don't work anymore.
In this case:
- Red Giant Cosmo doesn't even appear in the effects
- Boris FX Shappire 11 doesn't give me the controls and when I drag the plugin on the clip, the screen becomes black
- Mocha Pro (the plugin) gives an error when I launch it: "Cannot connect to MediaIO Server; Quicktime will not be available".
In the previous version, all my plugins were working flawlessly.
I'm pretty pissed off because this is my job, I've deadlines and I'm paying for this crap.
How can I fix this? or How do I downgrade?
I'm Running on a Windows 10 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 1700x 8cores, 64 GB Ram, Radeon RX580 8gb.
Thank you,
Dan
First thing with 3rd party plugins is check with the maker of the plug-in. They may well have updated versions to use. And there's no way Adobe can be responsible for making sure that every possible plug-in made by someone somewhere out there is always usable with updates to the main app. Not even remotely possible.
Irritating, but when using plug-ins, that's part and parcel of the workflow.

Not being a major update I expected the plugins to be retro-compatible. Ok, fair enough, this is the support that we get.
As I asked in the post, How can I downgrade to the previous version? So I can finish the jobs that I'm doing.
Thanks,
Dan

In the CC desktop app, click the right edge of the button for PrPro, should give options, including previous versions. 12.0.1 should be there.
There are about a billion plug-ins made for PrPro, as the API is pretty available. I wouldn't expect they would test them all.
