Is there a kind of Notepad in Premiere Pro where you can write text notes for the current project?

Yea, postnotes is gone it seems.

You can open the Windows "Notepad" utility text app, drag/drop that onto your project panel, and it will work. You can open, add/change things in your note. But ... note! (ha) ... you have to delete the notepad from your project if you want to use the Project manager for consolidation/archiving.

Clearly, I didn't see other people just posted about it. Whoops. Sorry for the double post on it. Anyway, hope you enjoy using it!

Hey there! Just bought PostNotes2 and it looks great. Question: is it possible to dock the floating panel somehow? Possible to have it automatically run when I start PP? I've tried docking the normal way by dragging and it just doesn't work. Thanks in advance!

That seems odd... I have it docked in both Premiere and After Effects, and did it just by dragging it into place.

Hi there! Yes, you're right...I'm not sure what I was doing wrong yesterday, but today I tried and it worked! Perhaps it was just the reboot that fixed whatever was wrong. So sorry for the false alarm.

I use the audio plugin bundle from MeldaProductions,
which includes a NotePad that you can add as a plugin on any audio channel.
https://www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeFXBundle
Windows and Mac compatible.

Opening the plugin will keep the window open for you to use when you need it.

Note: Alt+Return to create a new line. 🙂

The bonus is that you get a whole bundle of audio plugins for free as well.
I use them in my recording studio. They are great. Totally worth purchasing

to support the company to make more. 🙂

Just adding some notes about using the plugin inside Adobe Premiere.
You HAVE to use the "Backspace" button and the "Delete" button inside the plugin to delete text.
You CANNOT use the 'Backspace" and "Delete" keys on your keyboard as they are Premiere controls.

You HAVE to click with the mouse where you want to add more text.
You CANNOT use the arrow keys on the keyboard as they are Premiere controls.

I know this is an old thread but I personally didn't find the suggestions here useful.

What did work for me was the "Markers panel".

You firstly add the markers to the timeline, and then have the markers panel open to the left or right of your screen and you can write multiple notes over different markers at the same time.

In my opinion this is much better than what was suggested (for me anyway) because it's much clearer and you can navigate quicker. Thanks.
