NVIDIA Drivers and Premiere

New Here ,
Nov 16, 2022 Nov 16, 2022

Not sure this has already been addressed but I recently unknowingly auto-updated my NVIDIA RTX/QUADRO production driver  to version 526.67 (I have a NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 4000 driver), and began to experience slow/no playback and green footage in premiere (which I now know usually points to a gpu issue). After a lot of headaches and a lot of research, I rolled my production driver back version 517.40 and the green is gone and have since turned the auto-update for my NVIDIA driver to off. Should I be worried that there might be a bigger issue here or is there something else that I can do to prevent this from happening again?

If this is just as simple as the driver update having this issue, I am hoping this will prevent a lot of headaches and help anyone who may be experiencing what happened to me. headaches.

Won't be the first time a driver is giving issues.

I never auto-update, always download myself from the website and do aclean install manually.
