I'm trying to do some video editing for a channel me and a few friends are starting. I had volunteered as the editor since I had an older version of Premiere (CS 5.5) and I've had nothing but problems since loading it up for the first time in about a year or so.

I've been able to fix other problems but this one persists. I looked at other forums and found that you could get around it by changing the Project Settings to MPE software use only, but read that this workaround is flawed in that quality of the video can suffer, and besides the point, didn't work for me.

I then read that sometimes graphics card drivers can be thereason creating this problem so I looked up all my drivers and such and haven't been able to find anything for my Nvidia drivers:

GeForce 342.01

Version: 342.01  WHQL
Release Date: 2016.12.14

Again, I'm using older hardware and software, so this problem might be a bit harder to solve.

Here's what the problem looks like. If anyone can help/offer advice. It would be greatly appreciated.

You will have to try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
