I am new to the proxy workflow. Thanks for any help provided. I'm editing an indie film that was shot on RED and have been loving the proxy workflow. I am on vacation now with only Proxies. Thing is, I don't have the original R3D's in this project. So Pr Pro is seeing them as JUST h.264 files, and not proxies of something else. So when I create a new sequence with them, the sequence is in the proxy's settings (h.264, 1536x790). My question is, when I get back to Boston and relink the full-res R3Ds, will those sequences in the proxy format then jump to the 5k res of the R3Ds?
Your sequence will remain as you created it with the proxies, what it will do is that the original 5K will scale to fit. In that case you will have to adjust the sequence to 5K from the settings.
