Hi all!
Having a frustrating issue with the keyboard shortcut "select clip at playhead" in Premiere Pro CC. This button is the last thing I need in order to edit quickly without using the mouse. All other shortcut works like the Add Edit (Cmd-K) or Selection Tool (V). For some reason ONLY "select clip at playhead" which is default on D, just doesn't work.
I've tried moving the short cut to other keys but still not working. It seems like something is trying to work though because when I have the playhead on a clip, but I have another clip selected next to it, and I press D to select the clip the playhead is on, it deselects that clip next to it but doesn't select the clip I want it to select. It's like it starts the command of deselecting a different clip but doesn't follow through and selecting the clip at the playhead. Hope this makes sense.
My computer specs:
Macbook Pro 2016
3.1Ghz Inter core i5
8gb ram
Premiere Pro CC 2018
Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Is the track that the clip you want to select is on targeted?

I'm on PC, so it's not a completely 'good' test, but it's working here. Have you checked your Keyboard shortcuts to make sure that is still set like that in the shorts dialog?
Ctrl/Cmd-Alt-K .... should look pretty much like this. Note the red mark I put on the D key and to the lower right where it lists what happens on pressing it ...
