Only want video from insertClip, not audio

Is there some way to make insertClip respect "A1 - Source patching for inserts and overwrites"?

InsertClip is currently pasting audio attached to the video file, I want it to only insert the video. Is there a way to insert only video?
Or a way to unlink and delete the audio after pasting?

Im thinking of a workaround where I create audio layers before inserting, and deleting the same layers afterwards.  Are there commands for creating and deleting audio-tracks? Im unable to find this in the PProPanels samples.

app.project.activeSequence.audioTracks[1].remove();
