Open text settings in Appearance Panel

Can't believe that I'm asking this question but:

How can I open more of the text settings, like changing the size of the text, in the Appearance Panel for Captions?  Please see attached screenshot.

Is the Caption track selected?

Your caption track is Aus OP-47. This allows limited styling options. Do you need that? If not, right-click the caption track header, pick settings, and change to "Subtitle."

Awesome sleuthing Stan.  Thank you.  We VERY seldom see anything customised for us downunder so I seized on it without a second thought.  I don't know why that option exists but it certainly has its limitations.

lol. Apparently, there is a special closed caption option "down under." I've never used it; I just know its one of the closed caption varieties.
