Hello all. Hoping you can help me and the rest of the team I work with.
We're a small post house working on some reality shows. A little background into our workflow: We create a sync map for the entire day of footage. Then we take the multi-camera scenes and interviews, etc. and turn them into multicam sequences. Those are then put into a duplicated sync map, the duplicate now having the multicam sequences in it, instead of the separate camera's and audio.
Then we separate the scenes, interviews, and broll into bins and separate stringouts. We do this by copying the multicam sequences, not duplicating them. But when we put markers in the stringouts(we make sure the multicam is selected, so it's a clip marker, not a sequence marker) , the markers don't go translate from one multicam to the original one it was copied from. This is kind of important since when the editors go to the syncmap to get a good look at the entire day of footage in order, they don't see markers on the original multicams. They have to go to the sequence where the copied media lives.
Does anyone know a way so that all the multicams will stay connected with the markers?
