Organizing the Project Panel

Community Beginner ,
Jan 12, 2024 Jan 12, 2024

I'm an 83-year old beginner at Premiere Pro.  Using Udemy instructional video.  Can't get project panel (lower left) organized right.  Ideally, you'd have 3 or 4 overall categories (sequences, videos, audio), and your clips would fit easily into those.  Somehow, chaos creeps in.  I find video clips mysteriously repeated.  The color-coded squares at each item's start seem to come attached randomly instead of indicating a set type of asset (e.g., shouldn't a Sequence always be the same color?).  I've looked all over for some detailed help, but the gurus apparently think it's so simple they shouldn't waste their time on it.  Does anyone know a video or written piece that addresses this?

Hi @Lacy32769151n1m5,

I got your note. Sorry for the error. Error code 39 could mean a few things:

  • Not enough space on the drive: Delete some files on the drive where you are exporting to, or choose a drive with more space to export to.
  • Delete the media cache: Press Shift and launch Premiere Pro. Delete media cache in the Reset Options dialog box.
  • Update the GPU driver: If on PC, go to the NVIDIA or AMD website and find the latest driver for your GPU (video card). Install it and reboot.

    Try

All - Thanks for all your help above.  New problem:  I just finished my first video in PP but can't export it.  When I try, I get the error message on the attached screenshot.  Any suggestions?
