Out of sync audio with microphone track

I have a strange out of sync issue that keeps popping up from time to time, but not everytime. I try to replicate it with no luck. It just seems to happen randomly.
I record to mp4 with OBS capture software. This recording has 3 tracks. One video. Audio track #1 is the desktop sound. Audio track #2 is dedicated to microphone. When I play this MP4 with VLC media player all audio and video tracks are in sync.
When I import this MP4 {MKV has the same result} into Premiere Pro all 3 tracks are usually the same size. So if i scroll right and look at he the ends of the tracks they line up.
But once in a while I look at the ends of the tracks right after import and audio track #2, the microphone track, is just a hair longer. In fact I need to zoom in to really see it. It is almost always 4-6 seconds longer when this happens. The video track and audio track #1 [desktop sound] are the same size BUT OUT OF SYNC by 4 seconds because audio track #2 is 4 seconds too long. Audio track #2 is also out of sync by 4 seconds.
To fix this I have to lock both audio tracks and slide the video track to the right to line up with audio track#2 {microphone track} end. Only then all 3 tracks are in sync, which leaves me with a gap of 4 seconds at the begining of the video clip. Audio starts but the screen is black for 4 seconds.
I could get rid of the microphone track and just blend all sound into audio track #1 but I really need to be able to edit or make changes, filters etc. to the mic track seperate. I love what Pr Pro has to offer with audio adjustments. Again this only happens after I drop the file into Pr Pro. It plays just fine in media player before hand. Also changing file type, MOV. etc, does not fix it. It seems to happen more with longer recordings, close to an hour. My Pr Pro settings are almost default. I have changed almost nothing. Mute audio while scrubbing is the only change I can think of. Please help. Thanks.

I've heard of OBS problems before, over the years.. but don't use that stuff so take what I say with grain of salt.

What you are doing essentially is called a Voice Over ( VO ) via microphone using the same computer that you are recording ( screen capture ? ) along with the game sound, right ?

There's lots of reasons the sound stuff ( usually built into MOBO these days instead of discreat sound card, gets weird. Sometimes it has to do with the distances between record and play heads on the old magnetic tape sound recorders. But now it's the digital equivalent ..

Anyway, I would just use this thing or something like it. Mount it on a stand do you don't get sound from tapping keyboard or using computer on table etc... it will hear your fingers tapping keys if you put it on the same table as computer.

Just turn it on, start your game, and start talking .... then edit the wav file that you get from it when done. SD card. Batteries is OK too cause it doesn't use a lot of power and can record a long time.

Once you get good at using this type thing you can do voice overs for cartoons like SHREK and TOY STORY.

Sometimes this happens when audio is recorded in different sample rates. Here's what I suggest.

1- You don't have to lock any tracks in order to manipulate individual linked clips. In other words, you can simply press down ALT when selecting your video, and it will select only the video without the audio tracks.

2- The fastest way to fix this is to select the audio tracks and change their speed to 104%. The shift in pitch will be hardly noticeable and the audio will probably fit the video.

Let me know if this solves your issue.

I think you may be on to something with different sample rates. I checked realtek control panel. Speakers are set to 48000hz 24 bits. Microphone set to 48000hz 16bits.

1 - Can the difference in bit depth cause this issue?

2 - Microphone has a +10db boost which I need. Can that cause it?

3 - Audio bitrate in OBS is set to 320 on all tracks. Too high maybe?

4 - Strange this only happens in Pr Pro and not in media player.
