Pay all this money to Adobe and I can't even author a DVD anymore?!?

I'm losing my mind over here trying to figure out how to author a DVD nowadays.  Something I've been easily doing for 15+ years and all of the sudden it seems impossible.  I cannot download CS6 so there's no way to get Encore onto my computer.  I've never been so frustrated trying to complete such a trivial task that I've done hundreds of times before.  Shame on you adobe.

This is all because Adobe has EOL'd Encore after CS6, and then subsequently EOL'd CS6 itself. The third strike is that Adobe has now restricted subscription users (or Creative Cloud subscriptions) to the two most recent major releases of the Creative Cloud programs. Therefore, nothing earlier than CC 2018 is currently available to Creative Cloud subscribers. When CS6 was removed from CC availability, so was Encore. And Adobe now no longer offers a DVD or Blu-ray authoring software program at all whatsoever, forcing users to find third-party alternatives.

15 years ago suggests you may have purchased CS6. If  you purchased CS6 you should be able to get it working.

Did you purchase CS6?

I sure did.  I have the full CS3 disc set, CS4 upgrade disc set and CS6 upgrade disc set.  NONE of them are able to be installed on my 2019 MacBook Pro.  I'm assuming because they are 32bit software.

It seems completely ridiculous that Adobe's "Creative" suite now forces you to search (and pay for) 3rd party DVD authoring programs that aren't at all creative when it comes to making professional looking menus.

CS6 is 64 bit. There can be issues installing on newer machines, but I thought Mac users were still successful. What specific OS are you running? Has this wokred for anyone?

Yes, just for DVD/BD authoring, you may have less trouble moving on to a third party option.

It's the newest OS "Catalina".  I wasn't able to select setup when I inserted the CS6 upgrade disc.  It was crossed out with a gray circle and slash.  When I clicked it, I got the pop-up window saying something along the lines of "this app isn't optimized for your computer and needs to be updated, contact developer".

It also has something to do with the end of support for OpenGL beginning with Catalina. You see, CS6 required OpenGL just to even run at all - but Catalina now no longer supports OpenGL at all.

Cs6 also requires 32-bit QuickTime (aka QuickTime 7) support - something that Catalina now no longer supports at all.
