My pen tool is not working correctly. In the timeline, it will not make a key frame on the video line. In the audio it will. The pen works more like a selection tool in the video portion of the timeline. Everything is expanded and shown. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Any ideas?
There is a bug with the show keyframes feature on the timeline
Have to wait for an update.

Me too!
I'm transitioning from PremierePro CS6 to CC2015.3 and see that there's lots of new stuff to learn. But I too hit a wall yesterday when trying to edit a clip and wanting to control the video 'brightness' by adding control points with the Pen tool on the video track. The familiar yellow line on which I would previously add edit points with the Pen tool is gone from the video track, though it remains on the audio track.
I installed Premiere CS6 (legacy) as I needed something done for today. But is there a simple answer to this or at least a pointer/link to where that info is hiding?
Thanks,
Russell

SOLVED :-))
Hi Ann,
Your reply pointed me in the right direction.
Clicked on the 'wrench' icon and selected "Show Video Keyframes".
All's good. Lot's to learn that's new. But at least I can get something done.
THANK YOU !!

Russell, it is almost exactly what I am saying. The line appears but I can not drop a point. In the audio I can but not in video for some reason. I am also going through online stuff but have found nothing. It sounds like a glitch.

Hi,
Go to Timeline and right click on Fx as shown in the screenshot and select "Opacity" or "Scale" in Motion (whatever you want to change) and the apply the keyframes.

As said before its a bug. Adobe is aware of it.
Not all clips are affects. Default should be Opacity but its turned to Motion for come clips or entire timeline.
