Photo Thumbnails not showing

I am working on a video that utilizes both video and photos. All of the video files work great, however the photos are having an issue showing the thumbnails inside the project bin and media browser. It seems to effect both JPGs and PNGs. Tiffs seem to work, but those files are huge and there are a lot of photos. This is a huge issue and is preventing me from working effectively. How can I fix this issue?

Anyone have any answers for this? This seems like a huge bug and I can't find a solution anywhere.
