It's simple: No matter what I try, be it resetting the app prefrences, changing the channel map or restarting the computer – when I apply pitch shift, nothing happens. No pitch shift.

What version of Premiere? What platform? What file format? How are you applying the effect?
Can you give us a screen shot showing your settings with the effect applied?
It works as expected for me, with Premiere 25.01 build 73, on my M2 Max Mac Studio, OS 14.7.1

I'm not sure what I was getting yesterday, but I tried it in 25.1 and 25.2 b65 (same as yesterday), and it's working fine in both. Oh, I did start with a new .prproj (project) today.
New Project, dropped it in avc 3840x2160 clip, dropped on pitch shifter and it works. Then I opened it in 25.1 and it was working, removed the effect and then dropped one on again, and all was well.

Hey everyone,
Fascinatingly and embarassingly, I tried one more time and now the pitch shift works! I'm sorry for the inconvenience, although I do wonder what caused the malfunction and now, it's resolution.
Here is the information that I last checked:
- MacOS 15.1.1
- GPU
- 8-bit
- Shortfilm project with length 3 min
- Premiere Pro 25.1.0
Still, thanks so much for the support!
