Pixelation when exporting

Hi all,

I have been exporting a range of different videos recently and I am having a problem in all of them where in some parts of the videos there is some weird pixelation. See here:

Pixels 1.pngPixels 2.pngPixels 3.png

I have tried:

  • Overlaying a different clip at the same time codes
  • Exporting on 3 different computers
  • Creating a new project file
  • My Premiere is also on the most up to date version, I have tried exporting on different versions of 2021

But with all of these things that I have tried, they still export with this error.

If anyone knows the cause of this and have any solutions, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

The pixelation isn't occuring at the same place in time right? It is occuring in diffrent areas of content? Maybe areas that have a lot of detail?

It seems you are rendering a 4K sequence at VBR, 1 pass at 17mbps.

Try changing it to 2 pass, and using a higher bitrate. For example google recommends 35-45 mbps for 4K YouTube uploads.

If you are using transparency effects you could also turn on the "Render at maximum Depth" switch in Basic Video settings.
