Playback pausing immediately

Occasionally premiere randomly decides to completely stop working, playback doesn't work, it may play for one second but with zero sound. I knew immediately this was an issue with the output device so, I restarted my computer, checked my sound settings and made sure premiere is the only thing running. Still it did not work. The sound hardware settings in premiere are correct and my audio devices are working fine.

So I looked through these forms and found the same generic responses. "It's your pc, try looking in the task manager to see what's interrupting it." So I thought ok I will try that. Nothing is popping up, nothing is interrupting it.

Magically it began to work again. (I tried opening different projects) that's when premiere decided to work. This is an ISSUE with premiere and Ngl it's pretty annoying to see all of the community experts blame it on something with the system. I imagine there are many cases where it is the system but for me it was definitely something going wrong with premiere, and it continues to do that very randomly along with many other issues. My audio devices work fine with literally any other software I use. I am an audio engineer so I do this every day. Anyways if anyone is having the issue make sure you have the correct sound devices selected, try restarting your computer, make sure only premiere is running, and open an older project. For WHATEVER reason opening an older project fixed the issue, for now 😐
