Hello,
I'm running the most updated version of CC 2017 on Windows 10. My PC - i5 4200m, GTX 850m, 8 gb ram, 1366x768/ ! !
.After importing my footage and dropping a clip in the timeline, I'm unable to see any visual representation. I only hear the audio playing. The scrubber doesn't move across my timeline either. Even when I double-click clips to view previews of them, I only get audio.
I've tried re-installing premiere, and changing the Mercury Playback Engine to Software Only, but neither has worked. I've also tried importing an .mp4 file to see if that would change anything, with no results.

Hi Eteloss,
Please try these steps:
Close all of the Adobe processes from the Task Manager and go to the following locations:
Location 1: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
Location 2: C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Adobe
In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'
Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.
Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.
Thanks,
Kulpreet Singh

I think you need to begin with that, recommended screen resolution is 1280x800.
