Premiere Pro Version 25.0.0 (Build 61) I don't know what happened, everything was normal in the morning, and now suddenly the playhead in Premiere Pro is NOT MOVING! I am aware of the famous "essential graphics" bug and yes I had that bug too so I always have essential graphics window off, but now that's not the problem anymore, the playhead is just simply not moving! I've cleared cache, and opened a new project, I could update but there's no update, I don't know what's happening with Premiere Pro. Help!

I've reset the preferences, it's okay for a while, but once Premiere Pro finishes generating peak for the audio, the playhead is stuck again! sometimes even the audio is played in fast-forward for some reason. Other than the famous "essential graphics bug" this has never happened before, ever, it's so weird.

Premiere Pro, I'm paying for you, and now you're costing me more money, I have a job to do!

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
