Workied on project in PP 13.1 (build 193) - everything was fine. Today PP updated to 13.1.1 (build 11) and now I have "missing audio filter" error. There no Denoiser effect in Noise reduction effects. Obsolite version doesn't work too Does anyone know If it my current situation or DeNoiser was cuted from PP forever?

Roll back like I did  from 13.1.1 to 13.1 via Adobe Creative Cloud app.

Doh, of course in an old version of Premiere I can't open my project. I'll just need to do the rendering on the Apple machine I guess.

Just adding to the noise about the denoiser filter.

MacOS Mojave 10.14.4

Audio Filter missing:  c6762838-e451-4d22-9c90-b0eaa734605a

No pressure from me. I think I might have used an obsolete noise filter so I should probably redo it with the new one. Problem is trying to find all the places I used it.

Hey, the alternative is to roll back to 13.1 via the creative cloud app, which is what I did adn I'm back to using denoiser.

Thankyou for your efforts. I use De-noise on a LOT of clips. What a powerful, and useful tool. This is a frustrating situation. I have been using the newest version for long enough that most of my current projects have been saved under it; meaning rolling back my PP to the last version will make them inaccessible. (I tried)

Is there a work around for installing this plug-in in a different way?? I tried holding shift while opening the app, and reinstalling my plug-ins to no avail.

I understand that problems do occur and that humans are very creative, yet can make mistakes. I also pay $600 per year for this software, so hopefully it gets resolved fairly quickly.

Much love to all.

Hey,

you only need to roll back from 13.1.1 (latest bug fix update not major update) to 13.1 (when Denoiser and DeReverb worked), projects shouldn't be affected (unless you are trying to toll back beyond 13.1, which you don't need to do to get Denoiser back).

Hi Jeff,

My last project depended on DeNoiser. Fortunately, I was able to revert to 3.1 and redo edits I had proceeded with in 3.1.1

In the process I also realized the power in dynamic linking an audio clip/file to Audition in CreativeCloud

I’m sure someone out there has written some tutorials on YouTube etc... but in minutes of tinkering around with Audition’s features I discovered a way to analyze the background noise then apply a process to eliminate it from the dialogue’s audio spectrum. Much like denoiser does, but with more specific parameters

As you mentioned the CC price point, I recommend trying that app and it’s features. First you must “unlink” the audio from video in premiere timeline, thereafter it gives an option to edit audio element in Audition much like a dynamic-linked after effects project

Hope this helps

Although I can offer this insight here, I’m sure the web is filled with more detailed tutorials on similar processes.

Kindly,

db

Beat me to it Premiere Pro 13.1.2 was just released that now includes the missing DeNoise and DeReverb audio effects.

Note:

The 13.1.2 update for Premiere Pro includes two audio effects (DeNoise and DeReverb) that were missing in the Premiere Pro version 13.1.1 installer.

To revert to 13.1  ( 13.1.0 ) in the Creative Cloud App drop down the "Open" option then "Manage >" then "Other Versions" and you should be able to revert there.

This is helpful. But I've already done a bunch of work on a project and when I rolled back I can't open that project due to it being saved from the newer version.

Hey Chris,

You can do a quick mod to your project to open it in earlier versions.

Here's a page with a simple routine to set your project to open with any version, plus the manual steps to do if you'd prefer to do it that way:

MyerPj:

That looks like a great resource.  I’d edited the file version type  - to some success - longhand method a few years ago.  Great to see a website where the process is automated.  Have you personally had success with web-driven revertion there?  Curious

Hey db,

I did try once and it worked fine.

I'm the manual type and I've done it that way several times, just recently even. The (manual) instructions are on a link from that page.

Of course if you've used any new transitions, effects etc that were not available in the earlier version you are downgrading to, then that would be something to consider.

It goes without saying, make sure you make some COPIES of your project (note the "S") in case you need to go back to it.

Also noting that this is annoying. Thanks in advance for fixing it. Definitely a bummer to import a project into 13.1.1 only to figure out I need to roll back to 13.1 to get essential effects back (by the way, DeNoise is awesome. Great work with that effect. I loved it in the 13.1). Rolling back now while I'm already staying up all night on a deadline. Like I said, a bummer.

How is the progress on this bug because having to roll back to another version is not a long term solution?
