Premier pro 2023 transcribing issues

New Here ,
Jul 27, 2023 Jul 27, 2023

Hi,

I have come across an issue in Premier Pro when trying to transcribe. I have gone through the transcribing process with my current project and other video files that i have tried. However always seem to get stuck with this screen and nothing happens.

Please can anyone help with this? It seems to just stay in creating audio transcription but nothing is created.

DJJ,

What specific version of PR are you using? Help -> About.

What is the nature of the audio in the clip? Dialogue? Clear voices?

Stan

@DJJ2106,

Thanks for the information.

Are you creating a "source media" transcription of the clip or a "static transcription" of the sequence? Only the later allows you to select the audio track. So I assume it is the latter.

The section for specifying audio is labeled "Audio on Track." So I have assumed that you can only pick a "track" not a "channel" within a multichannel track. You have a single stereo track (2 channels). But when I do a static transcription of a single clip sequence that has a single, stereo audio track, I have the choice of Audio 1 and Audio 2 (and mix). Now since my sample has the same dialogue content in each channel, both work. A sequence with 3 (identical) clips has 3 audio tracks (each with 2 channels - stereo). But when I transcribe this sequence, I only get 3 audio tracks.

I'll look for another sample to try.

Stan

Hi DJJ2106!

Sorry about the trouble. Can you try resetting preferences and see if that helps?

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kartika
