Recently, one of our users has been experiencing an issue with Premier Pro CC 2018 where the timeline will lag when zooming in and out, it will not match when the shuttle icon is moved around on the program monitor.
When I move the shuttle around on the program monitor, it won't reflect the position change on the timeline until i've clicked the timeline.
Additionally, using + and - to zoom in and out on the timeline doesn't reflect the zoom change until i've clicked the timeline.
I had found a post recently in the forum that seemed to help temporarily, but I'd like to know if there is a permanent fix for this.
The temporary fix is to change the Library view from thumbnail to list. This seems to unstick the timeline and allow for normal operation.
Is this a graphics driver issue or a Premier settings issue? I've tried removing the preference file, it didn't help.
Here are the hardware specs...
Custom built
Windows 10 Pro
Premier Pro 2018 CC
NVidia Graphics Driver 391.03
Quadro P2000
Intel i9-7940X
32GB RAM
MSI X299 Raider motherboard

I'm suddenly experiencing the same thing today. Edited a couple videos over the past few days with the library in Thumbnail mode without issue. Today I can't do anything in the timeline without it lagging badly. I just switched to list mode like you said and it fixed the issue, but I'd sure like to have Thumbnails in my project library.

sun-times,
Is this a new project or an updated one? If the latter, try deleting media cache. Does that help? What about the same test in a new project. Let us know.
Thanks,
Kevin
