I consistently (at least weekly) have this issue where I attempt to launch Premiere and I get a loading screen but no splash screen. It says I have Premiere open, but I can't open any files or import any media. The only thing that SOMETIMES fixes this is resetting my preferences and clearing my media cache, but that doesn't always work. I am often having to uninstall and reinstall the application. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you have suggestions? Could it have anything to do with the RAM available on my computer?

Hi,
Are you saying that Premiere doesn't open correctly and you can't open any project? Can you make a new project?

It doesn't open at all. I can't open a project or make a new project. The bar of my MacBook screen says I'm in "Premier Pro" but none of those menu functions work at all either.

You mentioned RAM. How much RAM have you got?

It's a company laptop. Maybe this is my issue? Although, I cleared all of my caches this morning, and I have no idea where that 2 GB came from.

16GB of RAM is more than enough. Have you tried going back to the previous version?

This works (75% of the time, the other 25% requires a reinstall), but I am getting really tired of doing it every day.

I have the same issues sometimes, it say (mac osx 13.6.1) it's open. Nothing ever displays, I have to go to file>open and open a project or create a new one.

Do you have any third party plugins?
If so, try updating them.

Please try launching Premiere Pro with third-party plugins disabled and clear the plugin loading cache (https://adobe.ly/3AHZkdD). If you still see the issue, please let us know if you have any antivirus software installed on your system.

After years of this problem on and off I finally hit an update where nothing would open at all. 2 days of troubleshooting uninstalling everything adobe, and I mean everything (yes it was quite hard), new user profile, admin launch, , disconnecting everything usb, all the nitpicky things and no luck. The thing that worked after a call with adobe support was removing any video capture programs. I had blackmagic design desktop video installed from who knows what. Uninstalled it, restarted, and premiere 2025 booted right up.
Hope it's as simple as that for whoever else is in my shoes. Good luck out there.
