Hi Paul,

We're sorry to hear about this. Is this happening specifically when relinking media from an external drive or with an internal drive as well? Also, does toggling Display Only Exact Name Matches make any difference?

Thanks,

Sumeet

The folder tree ends in "Stella.mp4.mp4" .... that double period thing is an issue at times, can you get rid of it? And see what happens?

I tried to move files to another folder. It does not help.  Files are in the root of the disk. J:\Stella

Premiere seems to require all media to be in a folder, so it does need to be in a folder at the root, not "loose" ... as far as I've ever found.

Everything is in one folder. The project was mounted on another computer, I just opened the project on a new computer and it doesn't see the files.

Thanks for the clarification.

Having worked with partner who is all Mac, we're all PC, we found there could be problems especially with external drives depending on how they were 'docked' on Macs, or named/setup in Windows. It can be a picky mine-field at times to get that sorted.

We ended up going to straight LucidLink hosting our joint projects, and setting up the virtual drives it makes on our computers. That is rock-solid, but ... it is certainly not available when the problem is within your own computer, like yours is.

Sadly. Hope you can get this sorted, it's some sort of drive/folder recognitions or permissions issue. Personally, I really don't like dealing with those.
