Hi,
I've got a Macbook Air and an eGPU. Everything is fine in other programs, but none of my Adobe programs (including Premiere which is the most needed one) does not use my eGPU.
In other programs I've got installed on my Mac, I can see a "Prefer external GPU" mark, but on Adobe programs it doesn't exist.
I have posted pictures under (apologies of it being in Swedish).
In Adobe Premiere I do not have a possibility to mark "Prefer external GPU" as it doesn't even show up. But on a random program such as Excel it shows up, and every other program. What is the problem?

What do you have selected in the Project Settings panel in Premiere for Mercury Accleration? I do know that quite a few users are getting eGPU use from Premiere. It can vary, but as I've not used one, I don't know all the particulars.

Hi,
I can't find it. Needless to say I am not an experienced Premiere user, but I am mainly focused on getting the eGPU to work so that I can make use of it.
The reason for me getting an eGPU is because from what I know, graphics card (combined with other things) help the video editing process such as rendering.

Setting up your Project settings is the first thing you do with a project ... that dialog pops up any time you create a new project. In PCs, it's on the File Menu ... that's a bit different on Macs, but again, create a new project, that dialog will pop up. As it's where you name the project, set the location of cache files and such.
Here's the dialog ... note the very top option of the first tab of the Project settings dialog ... this is what I was asking about:
What is that drop-down set to in your project settings? Do you have an option there for the eGPU? I'm not sure about Macbook Air's ... how well their hardware works with Premiere.
