Premiere Pro 2019 randomly using all system RAM and crashing?_06 (WIN)

I have a project file that creates the same issues mentioned in this thread. I opened the project with all media offline and it still affected my computer in the same way.

I'd be happy to share the project file. What is the best way to do that? The original media connected to the project is quite large, so is the project file alone helpful?

Working on:

Windows 10 - Premiere CC 13.0.2.

I sent some test project files to Wes and they are analyzing them. I think they found an issue, but I'm not sure what it is.

For my own troubleshooting, I started with my problematic project file and started removing sequences and assets. I got all the way down to the point where there was nothing in the project and it still had the RAM spiking. In my experience, this issue did not change with assets, fonts, file types, etc.

The only way I could move forward with my project was to create a new project and import sequences one at a time. This was very frustrating, but I was able to get the project finished. I wish I knew what created the issue, so that I can avoid it... For now, it's just keeping fingers crossed.

Best of luck everyone!

Hi Atelier,

Your issue occurs without media - which sounds a bit different than some of these reports.

Thanks for providing the project file.  We can reproduce that issue in house and we are investigating.

Glad to hear that you found a workaround and thank you very much for sharing your information.

I have seen reports of some memory spikes related to font syncing and we are investigating that issue internally.

We do have support available for anyone experiencing issues in this regard. We're happy to help.

Happy to monitor this thread and chime in as we continue to break down and isolate any potential causes and will continue to work to help find resolution.

Wes
