This sounds like you don't have your Source and Track targets set correctly. You need to have at least one source target set for audio and video when adding media to a sequence on the timeline panel.

You wouldn't believe how many times this sort of thing 'hits' more experienced users also ... sheesh ...

Gapi,
Don't feel bad but it happens to be something I used to teach before 9:30AM on the first day of a 101 class. That's the problem with learning NLE by bits in pieces rather than building on fundamentals which is the way one should approach learning NLE. I found this out myself, going through a "bootcamp" hands on classroom experience in the late 90s with the Avid program. It was very, very good for its time. A somewhat similar experience can be had from some of the "Pay For" training. FXPHD. LinkedIn (Lynda.com) are good choices. Don't choose services that don't vet their instructors!

There are some good things on Lynda which hath become LinkedInLearning since being acquired by LinkedIn. I especially like Christine Steele's Premiere pieces.

Work through some of them, and it's actually worthwhile for most people to download the program material and work through the steps. Physically doing it teaches your hands to perform the tasks much faster ... and more reliably.

I'm sure it's that, teaching the hands. My brain couldn't need to do it several times ... right?  Sheesh ...
