Hi all,
I have a new MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019, 2.3 Ghz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 64GB 2667 MHz DDR4, updated AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB Intel UHD Graphics card). I have been working on a video editing project that is rather large (a virtual orchestra performance with over 70 videos nested together, etc.) This project continuously causes my computer to completely crash. I even took my Mac to the Apple store and they reinstalled the operating system and put the computer through a stress test, and said everything is fine. However, whenever I use Premiere, and especially with this project, the computer heats up quickly, the fan is loud, and Premiere barely works. I'm using proxies.
Any thoughts on why this keeps happening? I'm at a complete loss, but I spent the money to update the memory and graphics card for this computer with the assumption that it'd be able to handle these sorts of projects. At this point I'm not sure if it's a Mac issue or a Premiere issue.
Thanks so much for any thoughts/guidance!

what are the pixel dimensions and codec of your sources and your sequence settings? and can you describe how you're "nesting" the material... by any chance is there material from a screen capture or a smart phone? If so, the problem may be that your sources have a variable frame rate which premiere can have issue with
use mediainfo to determine whether your source is variable or constant frame rate
https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download
if it's variable use handbrake to convert to constant frame rate
https://handbrake.fr
and here's a tutorial on how to use handbrake

I have been having trouble with my iMac Pro crashing with Premiere Pro since the latest update. It always crashes when trying to create a new Audio or Video track and is now crashing using a nested sequence and multi cam.
My livlihood depends on this and Premiere Pro is now pretty much unusable. I have reset cache etc etc and still no joy.

glad you were able to get back to work. When you have the time to dig in to your problems with the latest version, start a new thread as every case can have different causes. and Please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card and source properties and sequence settings. If you want to send me a DM by clicking on my username at the top of this post, letting me know when you've started the thread, I'll make sure to pitch in.

Hello there,
My premiere pro keeps crashing. I am using macOS Big Sur (Macbook Pro), I tried Premiere Pro 14.9 ~ 15.2 (4 different versions), but none of them works. My hardware specs are 16GB Ram, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB. What should I do to fix this crashing issue? Please let me know. Thank you.

tell us the specific graphics card model which you'll find in "about this mac" and make sure it meets the system requirements
https://helpx.adobe.com/nl/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html
Also, tell us the specific macbookpro model including the year which you'll also find in "about this mac"
Try going to your project settings and changing the renderer to software only.
Also in your premiere preferences: general: turn on show system compatibility on startup
You also should tell us your source properties and sequence settings.
There are a lot of mac troubleshooting steps to take, but let's start with this info and then we can dig deeper if necessary.
