Premiere Pro 23.2 documentation lacking for auto-tone

Is there any documentation about what types of log footage (specifically) the auto tone mapping feature works with? There are several flavors of S-Log, C-Log, V-Log, F-Log, etc... Is it doing a color space transform behind the scenes to work with the display color management while the color processing (like in Lumetri) is still happening in a larger color space and bit depth? Is there a way to check what type of log Premiere is detecting and converting? Is it using manufacturer LUTs to perform the conversion or is it something AI-based? Would be nice to know these things.
