Adobe you have never fumbled an update so badly.. the new update is completely unfunctional and i've been using premiere for 15 years. Don't install this update, your footage won't playback without serious glitching.

Hello @eastwestpro,
Thanks for the message and for being such a longtime user of Premiere Pro. It is appreciated. This sounds like a serious issue, and I would happily escalate this for you to the team. The community and I would love to see more info, if possible. See this article for the details the team needs to see: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum? I'm most interested in learning about the format you are struggling with.
Sorry for the frustration.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi there,
Thanks for the heads up about the Adobe Premiere update. That sounds frustrating, especially considering your extensive experience with the software. Could you provide more details about the issues you're encountering? It would be helpful to know specifics so we can better understand the problem.
In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting ideas you might consider:
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause playback issues.
Clear Media Cache: Try clearing Premiere's media cache to see if that helps improve performance. You can do this by navigating to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache, then clicking on "Clean" to clear the cache.
Reset Preferences: Sometimes, resetting Premiere's preferences can resolve unexpected behavior. You can do this by holding down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) while launching Premiere, then selecting "Yes" to confirm that you want to reset preferences.
Check Project Settings: Verify that your project settings match the specifications of your footage. Mismatched settings can sometimes lead to playback issues.
