Premiere Pro Beta Set as Default

New Here ,
Aug 17, 2023 Aug 17, 2023

Hello,

Currently on my Mac Studio I have Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro (Beta) installed. I want to set it up where I have the stable version of Premiere as my default editor, NOT beta, but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to make this change. Any insight on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Right-Click a .pproj file -> Get Info (CMD + I) and in the section "Open With" change the beta app to the normal one and click "Change All".

This is correct in theory but on my MacStudio M2 Max (Sequoia 15.4) this only works the first time:)

If I exit Premiere Pro and double click another project it somehow forgets the "Open with..." preset and proceeds to open the project again in Premiere Pro (beta).

Any ideas?

Sorry no, this sounds like a different issue. I actually have the same issue with Photoshop even if I choose "open with" on Windows and select Photoshop non-beta it opens the beta instead. Too lazy to make a new post about it but that's probably the best thing to do in your case.
