Premiere Pro cc 2024 crashes at startup

Hello!
I recently updated PP 24.1 to 24.2.1.
Everything was working fine for a day or two until I clicked export, and it crashed before I could name it or choose the codec. The next time I started up, after choosing the project, it crashed the moment it built the editing window. I chose a different project, and it let me work on it until I tried export.
I've been giving my email to the crash report while troubleshooting, but figured this might get a quicker response.
I found that when I opened the auto-saved project, "save as" and I could edit for a bit, and it would crash only when I clicked to the export window, and exporting seemed to corrupt that version of the project because I'd open the project and it would crash immediately. I'd open the auto-save and that would work for a bit longer.
I'm open to a screen share if that's possible.

-Updated to latest Studio driver for Nvidia
-Deleted preferences and cache folders
-drivers up to date on Windows 11
-uninstalled and reinstalled 24.1 and still crashed when I clicked the export window. I then figured I go back to the latest version, 24.2.1

Windows 11 Home V23H2
OS build 22631.3296
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.19 GHz

Hi there,

I'm sorry for the poor experience. Could you share the email you entered in the crash report through a private message? I can reach out to the engineering team to look for the crash logs. Are you also experiencing this issue with Premiere Pro 24.3? If so, please go to C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\24.0\Profile-username\Layouts and temporarily move the folder's contents to another location. Create a new project and let us know if you still see the problem. This will help us identify if this is a workspace-specific issue.

Thanks,

Ishan

Thank you, an Adobe associate reached out. I haven't heard from him in a week though. I sent him my project and they couldn't reproduce it.
I found that I could make a new project and was able to drag the sequence from the old project to the new one and continue editing. But then when I added the other video file that I was working on, the crashes started again. So I'd open one of the Auto-save projects prior to loading the video file, and all would be fine. Kinda strange. I asked the adobe associate to try exporting that second file, but no reply as of yet.

Could you share the properties of that file? Was it a camera recording or a screen recording? We can try to replicate the issue on our end.

I have had a similar problem since updating to Pr. 24.4.1. This morning, my project opened and crashed after about 10 minutes. Over four hours, PR crashed four times, with a project loading time of about 10 minutes each time it crashed. It's a feature Doc project, so it's a big project. But I'm working with low-res proxies on an M2 chip (Mac Studio Max configured to the highest specs). The only weak link is the mechanical drive that stores the original media. The primary edits were performed on an SSD drive, with marginal issues compared to my current situation. My relinking process has been brutal with the constant crashing.

That must be frustrating! Was this project created in a previous version of Premiere Pro? If so, do you also experience crashes with new projects? If the new projects work as expected, please try importing your Sequences to a fresh project and let us know if that helps.
