Hi CC,
This morning I was prompted to update my Creative Cloud Apps on my Late 2012 Mac Mini i7 High Sierra 10.13.4
Sadly, Premiere Pro and Media Composer will no longer launch.
Has anyone seen any warnings about this behaviour?
- Pete
Hi All,

Thanks Rameez,
As you know the forums have been ablaze due to the problems with your latest updates to Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Composer. The issues all seem to be inter-related. After a whole work day lost I reverted these programmes to their respective previous releases which function correctly.
I have advised others do the same in responses on the forums.
The fall-out of this software glitch will last for a number of weeks and we have had call in IT to rethink workflow and future software.
In future it would be a really polite thing to advise owners when we get our monthly billing subscription notification what updates are available and more importantly wether the hardware/operating system configuration can support the update. We can then either avoid the update or invest in our systems ready for the update. I am sure you can easily calculate the users who's systems are nearing the end of lifecycle. This is just a basic feature of how subscription based software should work. So. less marketing junk promotion and more concentration on the core software.

Hi Pete,
Yes, the issues are inter-related. We have identified the issue and are working on a fix that is coming very soon.
In future it would be a really polite thing...
Users get notified of the updates via the Creative Cloud desktop application.
I like your suggestion about notifying users if their hardware can support the update. Do you mind posting the idea here so that other people, including myself, can vote for it? Premiere Pro ideas

I would love to go back to a previous version of Premiere Pro CC. How do I do that knowing that it is not available on CC window anymore?
Thanks a lot

Hi RameezKhan,
Thanks for your answer. The previous one, I think it's the 12.0 or 12.0.1 if I'm not mistaken.
I was actually installing a version downloaded from a torrent website. I hope there is no viruses there... 😕
Thanks again.
