Premiere Pro CC v9.2 ZigZag Open Captions

I am looking to add open captions to a video and would like to have control over the font type and size.  I cannot find Open captions when I create a caption file, only 608, 708, and teletext.  Is there a preference I need to set or what am I missing.

The feature of Open Captions was introduced in the Premiere Pro CC (2015.3) version.
