Premiere Pro (files changing directory during relinking media)

Hi

Could someone help me find a work around this issue, my project file on premiere appears to have change the directory of my files it seems almost corrupted the project, however when files link up it seems to go back to normal in terms of timecode and playback. I couldn't find anything online so If anyone can help me or direct me to some one who has a salutation to fix this or some way I can avoid this again that would be great.

Normally with an issue like this, I would just search the file name but it seems to have completely changed the file name in the meta data so this means having to relink files one by one.

the still that is attached is what shows on every file that I try to relink too.

so its completely changed the directory and the file name so this would have to be relinked manually  Screen Shot 2018-01-02 at 14.07.18 censor.png

The first thing that comes to mind are Steps 3G and H below.

Hey Jim

Thanks for your message, that does sound like a good work around but from your experience have you ever come across something like this before if so please let me know, if you found a way to relink without having to search through the a server manually, is there a way that I can at least change the file name in the meta data so that I matches the clip name so then it cuts down the time it takes to relinking?

Interesting, I'll make a note of using local drives and see if any staff have had this problem before?

Cheers Jim

Hey Kevin

Thanks for getting in touch, yes we're still having this problem with our project we've managed to relink some of the footage just by looking through what's left of the directory but if you have a salutation for this problem it would be great to hear.
