Premiere Pro jittering in preview playback but nothing works.

I'm having the issue that when i playback my footage it starts to jitter back and fourth. I've tried so many recomendations. I've restarted my computer, Premiere, cleared the cache unused, all the cache, changed the framerate in the sequences, released ram with Razer Cortex, turned off high resolution playback, changed my audio hardware to none for the input (I didnt have the option for the output), I've updated my drivers, lowered playback resolution, changed memory usage, disable effects, changed renderer to CUDA... I don't know what to do I can't find anything online that works. I have linked what the problem looks like, hope someone can help, I need a project done as soon as possible for an assignment.

Please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card and source properties and sequence settings.    Can't see the video playing if that's what you're talking about.  If you're talking about the playhead not moving smoothly, this could be an issue with the format of your first clip.  .avi is an old format that might be causing the problem.  Try transcoding in adobe media encoder to a all ifrome format like prores.  '

If the problem is jitter in the actual video, it's possible your source clip is interlaced rather than progressive.   Happy to explain the difference if you don't know it but you might do some googling to learn about it...  You can deinterlace in Premiere but I don't think it's ideal.  I have apple compressor which does a great job.  There are other tools available to do a high quality deinterlace and maybe someone else can suggest some options.

Specs: CPU: i9-9900k | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 3080 | Ram: 16 GB

OS: Windows 10

Premiere: 15.4.1

Source Properties:

Type: MPEG Movie
File Size: 38.64 MB
Image Size: 1920 x 1080
Frame Rate: 23.976
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - Compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Total Duration: 00:00:15:00
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Alpha: None
Video Codec Type: AVCHD H.264 4:2:0

Sequence Settings: It is atttacthed as an image

The stuttering playback is the case for every single video format, I have tried with MP4's and MTS files, videos that had worked previosly now stutter as well. The jitter seems to be a software issue considering every video I import has the problem, even if its footage I have used before.

Hi Jasim5EF5,

Have you tried resetting the preferences? If that doesn't help, try switching the renderer to Software Only and see if that brings any change: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/faq-how-to-change-the-video-renderer-in-prem...

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

I've done that, with the software still not working. I installed the 14.0 version of the app and now it works, but 15.0 is not working for me

Jasim,

Sorry, my friend. Check out the Audio Hardware Preferences and make sure they are set correctly. Connect a device, like speakers or a mic, then check the Preferences. Show us a screenshot of the Audio Hardware Preferences if you still have trouble.

Thank You,
Kevin

As I had said in the message, I changed my audio hardware but it did not work. I set it to none, default, and my headphones i use as i dont have a speaker system. I have solved the issue by installing the 14.0 version but the 15.0 version still remains unusable for me

Make sure that NVidia G-Sync is off in GPU driver control panel (for the Adobe app)

Please provide detailed specs of your system, including your storage configuration as well as your OS and version of Premiere

Have you tried resetting preferences and/or reseting your workspace?
Reset your preferences by holding shift+alt (or option) when you launch Premiere. Also try clearing Cache and Preview files.

Finally, if the above does not work, Uninstall using the Adobe CC Cleaner: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
