Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest why the middle clip is lagging? Its been rendered and is the same frame rate as the two other clips either side which play fine. Had this problem multiple times but can't find the issue any ideas?

Hi Jack,

I've had similar problems all through CC 2019 - CC 2020 versions and never really did find an answer to this. I'm also on an Apple computer (Catalina). I noticed that one of your clips is a .mp4 file and another is a .mov file. Could you provide some information on the source footage? Does it happen more on one file type than others?

Thats a great point, it seems to only happen for MP4 files now I've checked. would it be a case of converting files to MOV?

A lot of people recommend doing that, something like ProRes or an uncompressed format. Are the .mp4 files from a GoPro, by chance? For me, GoPro footage plays back pretty poorly in Premiere Pro on my Mac. In the video that you included, did it export that way?
