Ever since Adobe changed the way you start a "new project" in Premiere Pro, it has been rather annoying to start a new project that doesn't use any video clips initially. When I realized that it had changed, I became really lost.
I believe this is a good option to have, but, I don't think it should be required to start a new project. I believe you should get some sort of option asking if you have files that you want to import instead of always being required to have video ready to edit.
Is there any way I can work around this issue in Premiere Pro 22.6 (on macOS)?
All you have to do is: on the top, type the project name, set the project location, and hit enter. Ignore the rest of the interface. You'll get used to it after a while.
