Hi, I have been wanting to start content creation and I installed Adobe Premiere Pro. Within 5 minutes of working within Pr the application starts freezing and stops working, I'll add a video below. I've even gone to reset my pc and reinstall windows and my problem still persists.

Is that game footage? If so, try converting it to constant frame rate using Handbrake. Most likely your game capture software captured it as variable frame rate.

Would that really make Pr stop functionability?

I just checked my recording and in my recording software it is in a constant 1080P 60FPS

To check if VFR:
Use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?
If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Maybe, but Premiere Pro prefers the Studio Drivers.
I, as well as others here, recommend a computer for editing and a different one for gaming.

Josh,
Sorry. Any other details on the type of GPU you have?
If that's OK, I would transcode a section of this footage and see if it behaves better. I would test with the shareware app "Shutter Encoder" and transcode it to ProRes LT and do a test. How is the performance and playback going with this new file? If it is OK, not saying you have to transcode from now on, but you need to find a better way to deal with how you are recording game footage. OBS just isn't that good at generating good solid files.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Josh,
OK, that seems fine. What happens if you render the footage in place In to Out? Does it playback OK then?
Thanks,
Kevin

What do you mean by this?

In Premiere Pro, choose Sequence Render In to Out. Make sure In and Out points are set before trying that. How is playback after trying that?
Thanks,
Kevin

I don't see ProRes LT.

Go for Apple ProRes. Looks like LT is not available. GoPro Cineform also works for testing. Try transcoding your media to either of these codecs if rendering the footage is not working well. Sorry for the bad info.
