I've been having this issue for a while now and it seems to getting worse. While playing back a sequence, usually a multi cam (3 cam) timeline, Premiere will suddenly stop accpeting any keyboard or mouse inputs, for instance pausing the playback. When this happens the playback will usually continue until the timeline ends or I force quit Premiere. Playback speed is always real-time, and playback resolution is usually set to 1/4 to reduce hardware stress.
During these moments the program's UI will appear to freeze and or lock up, often flashing the infamous Windows White Screen of Death (the program fades to white and a "This program has stopped working" prompt pops up). It flickers back and forth between Not Responding and normal for several seconds to minutes, and I even sometimes notice it will go through all the commands I entered while it was frozen, almost like it qued them up then executed them all at once. Very rearely will the program recover, and if it does I have to wait several minutes for the timeline to end.
I almost always have to use Task Manager to force quit Premiere, losing any progress since the last save. Premiere doesn't seem to see this as a crash or failure so it doesn't have a pre-cash save to roll back to. It's incredibly frustrating, time consuming, a huge waste of time having to redue the same edits over and over again.
I can't seem to find any reason as to why it will happen sometimes, but not all the time. As I said, it happens most frequently with multi cam sequences. I never have more than 3 cams and usually clips that are no longer than 2-3 minutes each.
Are there any logs I should be pulling to see if Premiere is logging the failures? If so where would I find the appropriate logs?

This happened again and I lost 15 minutes of edits. I have Premiere set to auto save every 10 minutes, so I guess that might not be working either?
2 days and no support replies. Unbelievable.

De-install 23.2.0 and re-install 23.1.0 via Creative Cloud. Problem will be over.

Downgrading didn't work for me. I tried 23.1.0 and plain 23. My best result was to use h.264 proxies, not Quicktime proxies as those still cause the program to lock up.
I've also had two Adobe technicians connect to my computer to "troubleshoot." In both cases they blamed the issue on bad Nvidia drivers, so they downgraded them to older versions. This only addressed the issue short term and the problem came back. I really don't know what the actual solution is other than wait for the Adobe to properly address the issue with a Premiere update.
