premiere shows very small image when after effects is set to 1/4 resolution

i noticed this new problem where , if i have a clip dynamically linked to after effects, if i had been viewing it at 1/4 resolution while editing in AE

the corresponding image then shows up very small in premiere

i think it is a bug which has showed up since i have upgraded to 2017, it means i have to go into after effects find every clip and flick it to full res ,before exporting.

bit of a pain no?

actually the problem is worse than i though,  even when i have switched the res to full res, it still comes out very small. (i didnt accidentally reduce the scale of the clip  either, scale is 100%)
