Hi,
So, I created a bunch of Presets using the Transform Effect in Premiere CC2018 12.1.2 However, I need to use these in a CC2017 Project as well. When I import Presets it shows "Transform Effect Offline". I never had this issue when building my presets in previous CC2018 versions, and using them in older Premiere Pro CC Projects until now. Any way to fix this without having to rebuilt these presets to use in older version of Premiere? Thanks!

Transform is an accelerated effect. I wonder if in your 2017 Project before importing the preset you set the Renderer to Software Only under Project>Settings>General?

Hi Kib, Thanks for the suggestion. So, I tried Software, Open GL...etc Nothing seems to work. Its as if the Transform Effect in the latest update, is rebuilt and does not translate anymore to previous versions. I even downgraded the first few CC2018 versions, and Transform is still showing to be Offline.

To test that hypothesis can you build a basic transform-oriented preset in 2017 and see if it can be imported into 2018. In other words does The Transform effect translate forwards if it does not go backwards.

Hi, yes, I did. so, I built a few presets using Transform Effect in 2017. I imported into the latest CC2018 and all works fine.

Can those same ones be exported and brought back into 2017 in a new custom folder? Once 2017 do they stay 2017 or do they get 2018ed?
Finally sounds like you have to build the effects in 2017 and import them when you need them.

Hi There, so, I have exported presets from 2018-2017, and transform is offline in 2017. Building and exporting transform presets in 2017 to 2018, and importing to 2018 works fine. Also, if I create a project in 2017, drop transform effect or transform effect preset on shot, open in 2018, its fine. If I downgrade the 2018 project, with Transform Effect on shot (preset or not), the Transform Effect is offline in 2017. So, it is something with Transform Effect.

And if instead of opening the project, use the option to import it.

Thanks, but it was not what I suggested.

Sorry, not sure what you may mean then. I tried importing presets, importing 2017 project into 2018...etc Transform Effect is always offline when going down from the latest CC2018 12.1.3 to anything before that (earlier versions of 2018, 2017, 2015...etc
