Problem previewing inside Premiere

Hi,

I'm quite a new user of Premiere, I just bought a template and I thought it would be simple just to update it with my videos and then export it.

The problem is that I can't see the preview properly. When I click play to see the result inside Premiere (before exporting) it is choppy, jumps from beginning to middle or freezes etc. Why doesn't it play smoothly?

It happens with any project I work on, so it's not because this template is too complex.

I have a HP ProDesk 400 Tower with i5 & Dual Storage Drives, 16gb ram, integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. Does anyone think I need a better graphics card or what could be the issue?

Thank you,

Cat

Your machine is underpowered to handle the Newest version of Premiere properly.

You do not have a dedicated graphicscard and oldfashioned spinning drive and but 16 gig ram.

What kind of media are you using (dont say mov or mp4 but be specific).

Thanks John T Smith, but I don't think discouraging people to use the software is very helpful.

Thanks Ann, I'm just placing my own videos and images in a template bought from envato. They are various mp4 and movs, now I have no doubt it's just a GPU matter, will upgrade and hope for the best.
