Hey Claudie! I'm a huge fan and user of Techsmith Snagit and Camtasia software and Premiere. When you say the end part of your videos are missing, does it mean it goes to black, ends abruptly or stops prematurely? Or something else? I use Snagit to take quick screen captures and I've never had missing parts of the video however I have had captures affected by security that affects screen captures. Aside from this, there could be a corruption on the part of Snagit or Premiere to encode and/or decompress the video. Some compression videos may play fine in a standard player but have issues going into a video editing program. It sounds like there would be corruption in the way your videos are encoded. I guess my other question would be, does this happen consistently with any video you have recorded with Snagit? Here are some things I would try:

  • Completely uninstall/re-install Snagit and try re-recording
  • Completely uninstall and reinstall Premiere/Media Encoder using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

There are some other theories but that is where I would start. If you have already fixed the problem, please tell us what you have done so others may benefit. Thank you and good luck!
