Toggling proxies off the program works fine.
Any help is appreciated and desperately needed.

Thanks Ann. Very true and my apologies..

FWIW my issue was resolved but I'm not completely sure how.
What I did was to relocate my media cache location from one SSD to another SSD. I deleted existing cache files and did not move them to the new location so I'm assuming the issue was related to these files. Whether or not the new location played a role I just don't know.

Dont think the new location has any effect rather the old files have been trashed and rebuild.
