Tech:
Windows 10

Sony A7iii 4k footage

29.97 Frame rate

I am new to proxies.  I created an ingest and encoding preset.  Frame Rates are the same on both.  I put the format as Quicktime.

I'm getting a red screen instead of media clip halfway through the clip.  How do I fix this?

I recommend sticking with the included Cineform presets.

Hi jzhang172,

Please try to switch the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only and check if you are getting the correct preview.

FAQ: How to change the Video Renderer in Premiere Pro?

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Sumeet
